The 15th Century Grade II listed White Horse Inn is situated between the picturesque villages of Thruxton and East Cholderton and a half hour drive to the historic towns of Winchester and Salisbury. The White Horse was taken over in November 2006 by the Mawby family and has since gained a reputation for quality regarding food, accomodation and the friendly service. Our recently refurbished extension houses 4 beautifully appointed Bed and Breakfast rooms. All have comfortable double beds, en-suite shower rooms, TV, tea and coffee-making facilities and wireless internet access. It is the perfect home-from-home to stay when enjoying the local tourist sights, particularly Stonehenge, numerous country activities and walks, or as part of a work visit to the area. As we are close to the A303, it is also a great place to stop off for some rest and relaxation on the long drive tofrom the West Country.A key attraction is our restaurant, where you can enjoy some delicious home-cooked food, either in our attractive, intimate dining room or besides the roaring log fire. We have a fully-licensed bar, offering a wide selection of beers, spirits and wines from around the world. Our food is inspired by selecting premium local suppliers to create a classic modern British menu with a twist. Our wine list has been carefully selected to enhance your dining experience and present you with a balance between Old and New World wines.
